Each year the Redding Land Trust awards a $1,000 scholarship to a Joel Barlow graduating senior who is pursuing higher education in the field of environmental conservation of nature. Named in honor of the Land Trust’s founder and inspiring leader Mary Ann Guitar, this year’s Award goes to Adam Farmer, an outstanding student of Environmental Science. With a strong grade point average in rigorous and advanced placement courses and a dedicated Eagle Scout, Adam is disciplined and curious, both a leader and a listener, and destined to succeed in his chosen field of environmental preservation.  Adam will be attending McGill University next fall.
