Summer Celebration 2026

SATURDAY, AUGUST 22
4 - 7pm

The Big Field at Do Ngak Kunphen Ling

This year, we return to the site of our 2022 Summer Celebration: DNKL, Tibetan Buddhist Center for Universal Peace, where one of our largest conservation easements is located. Don’t miss our first silent auction, another great menu of barbecue and fresh vegetarian meals from Odeen's Catering, a specialty cocktail from The Georgetown Owl Saloon, sweet bluegrass tunes from The Trunk Band, and a rehabilitated animal release by Wildlife in Crisis.

Directions: The Summer Celebration will take place at DNKL’s big field; access is via the secondary gravel driveway northeast of the main entrance (i.e., the next driveway toward Putnam Park). There will be plenty of signage on the street. For a direct link to the address, click here.

Meanwhile: Enjoy a few photos from the 2025 event taken by Trustee David Heald and the plant guide designed by Trustee Cole Tucker-Walton:

Donated mostly by Saul and Janice Poliak, the 32 lush acres of Poliak Preserve include a shady meadow, a flat half-mile loop around a pond, and a second loop through the woods. The Furlough Trail, following the Saugatuck River, leads up through the Henry and Lotte Fields Preserve to McCormack Preserve, the site of 2024’s Summer Celebration.
