Community Hiking Club: Plant ID Hike at Saugatuck Falls

Plant Identification: Trees, Plants, Shrubs, Flowers, and More!

Gathering Location: Sauguatuck Falls Natural Area on Diamond Hill entrance

Hike Duration: Approximately 1 hour

Hike Difficulty: Moderate with a few steep areas and technical sections with rocks and roots to navigate.

Why You Should Go: Back by popular demand, Hannah will lead us on a fun and educational walk in the shade with neighbors and friends. Learn more about Redding's local physical ecosystems, including natives vs. invasive species and the health of our local habitat. This trail features a wide variety of landscapes, including wetlands, interesting rock formations, waterfalls, and a good range of forest habitats.

Things to Know Before You Go:  Dress appropriately, long pants and sturdy shoes mandatory. Review these hiking tips.
