Community Hiking Club: Norwalk River & Pollinators with Victor DeMasi

Parking/Gathering Location: Meet at Junction of Route 7 and Simpaug Turnpike. Park across the street from the ball field.

Start Time: Hike will begin promptly at 4:00 PM. Arrive at least 10 minutes early.

Hike Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours

Hike Difficulty: Moderate

Why should you go? Victor DeMasi was a wetland conservation officer in Redding for 20 years and is now a curatorial affiliate at the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History. His passion for butterflies has taken him all over the world, including the Amazon Rainforest in Guyana. With a lifetime of knowledge, Victor will answer questions, share facts, and leave you with an entirely new appreciation for all pollinators after this walk.
