Gene Connolly
On Easter Sunday, Gene Connolly and his six children and their spouses and some of his fourteen grandchildren gathered at the home on Meeker Hill Road where the children had been raised to celebrate a farewell meal in the house and on the land before its sale to a new owner. Gene and his late wife Virginia had given a two-acre easement on a beautiful property with a distant vista behind the house. Trustees of the Redding Land Trust gathered to toast Gene and his family and offer thank-yous for this magnificent gift. They pledged to make sure that the new easement is mowed but kept in its natural state forever.
