Lonetown Marsh Sanctuary

In total area, the Saugatuck embraces the largest watershed in Redding, and the greatest concentration of open lands, too. The river’s headwaters gather for the most part beyond the Danbury line, then flow southeast to the Saugatuck Reservoir. State Highway 53 parallels the river for much of the distance. ❧
